Migration of Purchase Order System to AS/400 |
| The company had a business need to migrate the Purchase Order System from mainframe to AS/400. Digitek team undertook very first step of data conversion. The interaction of Purchase Order System with the other modules such as Receiving, Allocation was studied and impact analysis was performed. Once the impact of migrating Purchase Order System was confirmed to a minimum, program conversion was the next step. After the data and programs were converted, they were ported and a full system testing was performed to ensure a smooth transition. Digitek team was responsible for better performance and process of migration from the Mainframes to AS/400. The team also worked on the impact analysis, designing of several data conversion routines and Sales Analysis Reporting module, which was like an add-on to the Purchase Order System. |
