Client: An International State Government Department of Revenue
 
The Revenue Department identified a need to computerize its major revenue earning applications and selected Digitek for development and implementation of complete application systems, monitoring, administering and maintaining the wide area network (WAN), and local area network (LAN) infrastructure upgrade to provide agency administration with improved network performance and enhanced fail-safe environment. Digitek's infrastructure upgrade team worked with Revenue Department to install 22 servers, 250 + clients and a broadband network to connect several hundreds remote villages, town and cities to Revenue department head office. The MIS network is a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week, 365 day environment with the requirement to have the network available at all times. Digitek professionals designed and documented LAN/WAN solutions and documented network configurations, assisted in the development of network standards, troubleshot network problems, configured network devices (Cisco routers, 3COM switches, NT and Unix servers) to support program and network, researched technological solutions for network connectivity, client-server application support, multi-platform integration, and other data processing and telecommunications related projects, worked with on-site personnel to resolve configuration problems both on site and at remote locations and reviewed site evaluation reports to ensure technical viability. Digitek prepared detailed project report consisting of all implementation details for expansion of network (Software requirement, Hardware requirements , Topology, Network design, IP addressing), configured ADS, DNS, RRAS, VPN, TCP/IP and DHCP for optimization of the Network., carried out maintenance of Disk Usage and Quotas and set up of Local / Network printers and printer clients.
